Is it serious if a garage door track is bent?
Yes, the problem is serious and the track should be fixed right away. Otherwise, the door may get jammed. Eventually, the track may break altogether. In this case, repair will not be a solution and you will have to get a new track installed. In general, in order to lower the risk of track bending, you have to ensure that the sections are properly aligned and that the bracket bolts are tight.
DIY vs. professional installation. Which is more preferable?
Delegating the job to a professional is more advantageous because you do not have to do all the dirty work, most especially in ensuring that all the parts are well connected to each other to ensure safety and the door’s smooth operation. Doing it yourself may not be good for the safe installation of all parts.
How do I reduce the noise of my garage door?
The noise produced by your garage door is influenced by a number of things. Check and tighten each nut, bolt, along with lubricating the hinges. If they are already worn out, replace them. Lastly, check the garage door rollers. If they are made of metal, you may want to replace them with nylon ones.
